This page contains a listing of all known manufacturers and the keyboard key(s) that correspond with accessing the BIOS. The list has been compiled to reduce the time necessary to use the correct key to access the BIOS.

Acer

Models: Aspire, Predator, Spin, Swift, Extensa, Ferrari, Power, Altos, TravelMate, Veriton

  • Del or F2
  • Acer Veriton L480G: F12.
  • Acer Altos 600 server: Ctrl+Alt+Esc. Press F1 for advanced options.
  • Older Acers: F1 or Ctrl+Alt+Esc

eMachines

Acquired by Gateway in 2004, then Acer in 2007. eMachines brand discontinued in 2013.

Models: eMonster, eTower, eOne, S-Series, T-Series

  • F2, Tab, or Del

Gateway

Acquired by Acer in October 2007. Models: DX, FX, LT, NV, NE, One, GM, GT, GX, SX, Profile, Astro

  • Some ASUS laptops require that the Del, Esc, or F10 key be pressed instead.
  • Older ASUS computers may need the Esc key held down.
